For the past three years I have been very fortunate to work with the Kansas City Chiefs fans and organization on various projects thanks to the early success from the song "Blacklist Kansas" which was recorded in my laundry room in Mountain Home, Arkansas in early 2013.With one line declaring my love for the Kansas City Chiefs, the song got passed around and made it into the hands of chiefs superfan "X-Factor" Ty Rowton who encouraged me to write something for the Chiefs and release it to the masses. The song was a hit. It garnered support of both local KC radio, television outlets like Fox Sports, NFL Network, ESPN and more. And continued on through the next couple of years as we released a couple more songs, performed at Arrowhead twice, garnered a couple of licensing deals, heard our songs become ringtones, background music in advertising, etc and we couldnt have had this magical journey we have been on without this Chiefs business in our lives. As a kid, I always dreamt of being like Will Shields or Derrick Thomas, playing for the chiefs...but the reality is I am unathletic, uncoodinated and brittle, so getting to perform these songs on a grand stage like arrowhead felt like I was getting to take the field in my own special way.

While the music we make for the Chiefs is completely different than what we perform everyone else, it makes me smile when I see people happy that we have written something for them and their team. I have encountered so many good people, and whether they donated an excessive amount of money (shout out to Dustin Saterfiel and Steve Widener) or they have simple shared a beer and a laugh with me at Arrowhead Stadium, These memories shared are some that I will both never forget and will cherish forever.
